What’s so unique about it?
The legacy of Goa Carnival Party is more than 500 years old. Its history dates back to the 18th century when Portugal rulers first celebrated the fun-filled festival with high spirit & grandeur. For some, the celebration originates from the ancient mixed Pagan rituals in the honour of Gods while for others it’s a Christian custom of revelry in disguise. Later, with many traditional interpretations at the forefront, the festival today is celebrated not only by locals and Portuguese, but by the whole world with great gig and splendour.

The four day Goa’s Carnival Party or the reign of King Momo kicks off with a multitude of open events such as thumping Roman music, LIVE DJ, dance, food and fascination for all happy party lovers. Electrifying musical ambiences of drums beats with masquerading characters conducting colourful parades across the streets will simply amaze you. The musical vibe is further enhanced with tunes matched up by bagpipers, dancing troupes decked up with masks and fancy costumes, fire dancers, fortune tellers, lip-smacking cuisines, refreshing drinks, merrymaking, splendid presentations, sports & cooking competitions, fireworks and a lot more. The excitement culminates with the famous Red & Black dance that concludes on the last day of the Carnival. Goa Carnival Party Dates, 2017
The opening day of the annual four day Carnival float parade is 25th February and will continue till 28th February of this year.
